Regional and Jazz Program at This Year’s Gradić Fest
At the 24th edition of the Street Musicians Festival, the visitors will have the opportunity to see the performances by IDEM, Džipsii, Ki Klop, ZHIVA, as well as by numerous other regional performers. In addition to the regional program, this year’s Gradić Fest will also include a special segment of the festival dedicated to jazz music, with performances by Vlada Maričić, Max Kochetov, the Italian wind ensemble Basterdjazz and others.
From Croatia comes IDEM, the solo project by Antun Aleksa, the trombonist of the bands Porto Morto, JeboTon Ansambl, and the guitarist and singer of the band Trophy Jump. The Zagreb scene will also be represented by the disco pop band Ki Klop, whose performances are described as a combination of a concert, dramatic performance and club-dance experience, as well as by solo musician Vlado Remeš, known as VOADO.
The Belgrade scene will be represented by Džipsii, who achieved success and visibility in the music industry with a combination of underground and pop sounds.
The young singer-songwriter ZHIVA made her independent breakthrough on the domestic scene with the release of her debut album Preterujem in November 2023, for Glitch Records.
They will be joined by the Novi Sad band Josip A Lisac, Škofja Loka and Maršali from Bečej.
On the streets of Gradić, we are waiting for the Slovenian street theater play Dobro jutro, performed by Andrej Tomša and Luke Piletič.
Jazz Music at the Street Musicians Festival
When it comes to the jazz line-up, this year we will listen to the quartet of Ukrainian saxophonist Max Kochetov, and the famous jazzer Vlada Maričić, who will perform tracks from his latest album. The saxophonist Jure Pukl’s trio comes from Slovenia, whose music is a fusion of jazz, modern classics and popular music genres. The four-member band from Novi Sad Dragons fuel will also perform at this year’s festival, as well as the trumpeter, flugelhorn player and composer Ivan Radivojević, who will present himself to the audience with his quartet. The brass jazz-funk ensemble Basterdjazz arrives from Italy.
The Street Musicians Festival – Gradić Fest 2024 is organized by the Art Association “Inbox” from Novi Sad, with the patronage of the City of Novi Sad and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia.
