ZHIVA

Iva Pažin ZHIVA made her independent breakthrough on the domestic scene with the release of her debut album Preterujem in November 2023, for Glitch Records.

The album consists of nine original songs and is set as a mosaic of genres – from alternative pop to jazz, hip-hop and drum ‘n’ bass to reggae. What especially sets it apart is that it is dedicated to mental health.

The fact that she won the award for Best new artist in 2024, awarded by the Association of Independent Discographers RUNDA, is one of the indicators of her success on the cultural scene of the region.

She is one of the 11 regional musicians who made it to the list of artists to watch (100 ARTISTS TO WATCH) for 2024, brought by IMPALA in cooperation with YouTube.

ZHIVA is also a member of the Balkan beat gypsy punk band MAiKA.
