Gradić fest starts today!

This year’s 23rd Festival of Street Musicians – Gradić Fest will be opened on August 24 from 7:30 p.m. with a traditional procession that starts from the city center every year. “Space tractor” and DJ MKDSL will lead the parade from the intersection of Bulevar Mihajlo Pupin and Žarka Zrenjanin Street to Gradić. On the main stage in front of the Belgrade Gate, DJ MKDSL will introduce the audience to Bojana Vunturišević‘s concert. The procession will be accompanied by performers, dancers and the dynamic Rusty Brass Band from Italy.

Apart from the procession, La Famiglia Mirabella, EL LOREN – Pipe Bucket Drummer and Michele Roscica will perform at the stations of the first evening of the festival from 19:00. 

All lovers of dance, especially tango, are waiting for the Petrovaradin Caminito during the first festival evening on Prote Mihaldzic Square. The Latin American atmosphere by the Danube will be created by the tango of DJ Anči, as well as her fellow dancers. After her, the Novi Sad Tango Quintet will perform the works of Piazzolla, the composer who introduced tango to the world of classical music.

During the next two days, local and regional artists will be led by Macedonian Funk Shui, VOADO, Belgrade bands Dolores, ANDR and Retrospektiva, Oxajo and Filip Baloš.

Many more noteworthy names make up the program of this year’s Gradić Fest, and some of them are Flairdrum from Germany, The Bad Week from Novi Sad, Monohrom, Ivan Jegdić and many others.

In addition to the music program, the audience will have the opportunity to watch short films from selections from the Film Front and feature films “Oaza” and “Do Daske” at the Gradić cinema on Friday and Saturday from 8 pm. 

The locations where the program of this year’s Gradić Fest will be held are the stage in front of the Belgrade Gate, Štrosmajerova, Beogradska Street and the Gradić Cinema, and the two new venues are Prote Mihaldžića square and Krug (Circle).

Take a music bus to the festival

As part of the cooperation with JGSP “Novi Sad”, the audience will have the opportunity to come to the festival free of charge on city buses that will run on specially created routes. In the spirit of the festival, the audience on the buses can expect musical performances as a preparation for what awaits them when they come to Gradić!

Traffic during the three festival days and parking

Because of the festival, there will be a temporary change in the traffic regime. For the purposes of the procession, traffic is prohibited on Mihajlo Pupin Boulevard, from Žarka Zrenjanina Street to the road to the fortress, on August 24 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Prohibition of traffic in Petrovaradin, from Vladike Nikolaja Square to the road to the fortress, in the period from August 23. from 16:00 hours until 27.8. until 16:00

The festival of street musicians – Gradić fest will be held from August 24 to 26. The festival is organized by the Art Association “Inbox” from Novi Sad with the patronage of the City of Novi Sad, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia and the Administration for the Economy of the City of Novi Sad.
