4 Foreign Performers Who Will Perform at This Year’s Gradić Fest

The foreign program is, as is our tradition, a part of our festival this year as well, and we present four foreign performances that we will have the opportunity to hear and see on the cobblestones of Gradić!

Circus performer Maria Sol Lence is coming straight from Argentina to the Lower Town of the Petrovaradin Fortress. At one of street points of our festival, she will perform the play “Tutu”, a story of an unemployed dancer with a broken heart and her entry into the world of circus art. The performance consists of acrobatics, balance and dance accompanied by humor and unusual charm.

The acoustic quintet La Tromba comes from South America. The tracks of this Chilean band represent a composition of elements of different genres such as gypsy, Balkan, Afro-Latin, jazz and Arabian music.

The Japanese street scene will be represented by the unique Eppai from Tokyo. Eppai is an artist who experiments with different instruments, props, and even children’s toys in order to create surprise and laughter among the festival goers. His performances represent a creative combination of music and avant-garde clown performance.

The French contemporary theater – Teatroskop – will also perform on the streets of Gradić. The audience from Novi Sad will be presented with the collaboration of Amélie Poirier and the photographer Lucie Pastureau in the form of the creation of a choreographic and puppet journey inspired by the works of American female photographers of the 1960s and 1980s.

The Street Musicians Festival – Gradić Fest 2024 is organized by the Art Association “Inbox” from Novi Sad, with the patronage of the City of Novi Sad and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia.
