Teatroskop (France)

Amélie Poirier draws inspiration from the American female photographers from the 1960s and 1980s in order to create a choreographic and puppet journey in collaboration with the French contemporary photographer Lucie Pastureau.

Carried away by the rock music and protest energy of the period, and particularly inspired by the people photographed by Diane Arbus, she moves photographs through lighting, image mechanization, and photographic textualization systems and choreographic processes.

From the act of photography to the darkroom, from black and white to color, the entire photographic process is brought to life. This reflection resonates with contemporary issues of representation and self-representation.
