Opening program of the 23rd Festival of Street Musicians – Gradić Fest!

The opening of this year’s Festival of Street Musicians – Gradić Fest with an artistic parade will once again enliven the city’s streets. “Space Tractor” and DJ MKDSL will lead the parade on Thursday, August 24 from 19:30 from the intersection of Bulevar Mihajlo Pupin and Žarka Zrenjanine street to Gradić. On the main stage in front of the Belgrade Gate, DJ MKDSL will introduce the audience to Bojana Vunturišević’s concert. The procession will be accompanied by performers, dancers and the dynamic Rusty Brass Band from Italy, who will perform their performance in an old “Londonac” bus.

One of our most current singer-songwriters, Bojana Vunturišević, will present her new album at the concert, and the audience will also be able to hear her famous hits such as “Promašaj”, “Kese etikete”, “Daljine”.

All lovers of dance, especially tango, during the first festival evening on Prote Mihaldžića Square, the Petrovaradin Caminito, modeled after the famous street in Buenos Aires, where both young and old dance tango all day long, awaits. The Latin American atmosphere by the Danube will be created by tango DJ Anchi, a lover of tango, as well as her fellow dancers. It will only be an introduction, as after it the Novi Sad Tango Quintet will perform the works of Piazzolla, the composer who introduced tango to the world of classical music.

In addition to those concerts, on the first evening of the festival, the audience will be able to see foreign and domestic performers and musicians, a program for children, on the stage in Štrosmajerova street and at the beginning of Beogradska street.

The festival program will start earlier in the suburbs of the Petrovaradin fortress with a program for children, when La Famiglia Mirabella, EL LOREN – Pipe Bucket Drummer and Michele Roscica will perform from 19:00.

The festival of street musicians – Gradić fest will be held from August 24 to 26. The festival is organized by the Art Association “Inbox” from Novi Sad with the patronage of the City of Novi Sad, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia and the Administration for the Economy of the City of Novi Sad.
