Gradić Fest warm up at club Polet in Belgrade
The Street Musicians Festival will take place from 1st to 3rd September in the Lower Town of the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad as a part of Gradić Fest, and until then we will be warming up at Polet club in Belgrade. On Thursday 17th August at 8 p.m. you will have the opportunity to taste a little bit of the festival’s atmosphere through music, film and a photo and posters exhibition.
The opening act for the evening will be Nađa Vračarić, a fantastic singer-songwriter from Novi Sad who creates under the influence of St. Vincent, Arcade Fire and The Beatles, and who has had more than 30 concerts since 2013, including a performance at Exit Festival. The second act will be Rim Runner, who will end the party with hard drum ‘n’ bass / jungle sounds. In the meantime, there will be a screening of a 20-minute documentary by Nemanja Babić about the Street Musicians Festival. Inside the club, there will be an exhibition of posters and photographs of the last year’s festival.
A part of the event will also be the promotion of the international film festival Cinema City, the festival’s partner, who will be joined at Gradić Fest by other organizations with similar interests, such as Pop Up (Berberaj & Public P), Scenatoria, Suburbium, Fruškać, Happy Trash Production, Ugrip and AAA festival.
The Street Musicians Festival is one of the leading gratis festivals in the region. Every year it is attended by more than 45 000 people from Serbia and the region, and it is distinguished by its program, which includes artists from all over the world and is suitable for all ages.
This year, the Street Musicians Festival has expanded its program, naming it Gradić Fest, and it will take place in a rustic part of Petrovaradin, at the foot of the Petrovaradin Fortress. The festival’s main goal is to call attention to the importance of preserving the cultural and historical heritage of this country.
