The band Svemirko<\/strong>, Sara Renar<\/strong>, Ana \u0106ur\u010din<\/strong> and Sana Gari\u0107<\/strong> are the biggest names of the regional selection of this year\u2019s Street Musicians Festival \u2013 Gradi\u0107 Fest \u2013 which will take place from 30th August to 1st September, in the Lower Town of Petrovaradin Fortress. The rest of the program will also include foreign performers, film projections, exhibitions, theatre performances and art performances, which will take place on the streets of Gradi\u0107.<\/p>\n

The multitalented musician Svemirko<\/strong><\/a> comes from Croatia and to this year\u2019s festival he is bringing synth-emo-macho pop which he composes, arranges and produces himself. This year\u2019s regional program includes another fantastic musician from Zagreb \u2013 Sara Renar<\/strong><\/a>: her indie pop melodies are already known to the local audience.<\/p>\n

Ana \u0106ur\u010din<\/strong><\/a>, a singer-songwriter from Belgrade who was born in Bagdad and grew up in Moscow, mixes traditional American folk with dream pop elements. Sana Gari\u0107<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s music includes a wide range of music styles, enriched with electronic influences of tender neo-psychedelic and no wave dance songs.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Gradi\u0107 Fest will also include performances by the ethno-surf band Moussaka<\/strong><\/a>, from Belgrade; the guitar duo Ljubi\u010dice<\/strong><\/a>, from Pan\u010devo; and Oceanchild<\/strong><\/a> will recreate live The Beatles\u2019 great White Album, which The Beatles never performed. Matko Abrami\u0107<\/strong><\/a>, a poet from \u010cakovac, is returning to Gradi\u0107 Fest with two new performances, during which he will create entire compositions with his two-member accompanying band. Quartet Bilitis will do a musical-visual performance \u201cDifferent Train\u201d.<\/p>\n

The independent youth theatre production Reflektor teatar<\/strong> from Belgrade successfully introduces engaged, new and different theatre expression into the mainstream. They put the equal sign between the activist and the artistic, the personal and the political, the esthetical and the educational. They perform their plays, in which they examine numerous social issues and the dark sides of community, at different locations. At this year\u2019s Gradi\u0107 Fest, they will perform two plays: \u201cMu\u0161kar\u010dine\u201d \u2013 a theatre documentary about the perception of manhood; and \u201cSmrt fa\u0161izmu! O ribarima i slobodi\u201d \u2013 a story about a hero of SFRJ revolution, Ivo Lola Ribar, which offers a revision of the fight against fascism in the times of rising nationalism across Europe.<\/p>\n

The Street Musician Festival \u2013 Gradi\u0107 Fest \u2013 is organized by the Art Association Inbox from Novi Sad, with the sponsorship of the city of Novi Sad and the Provincial Secretariat for Culture and Public Information.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
