BadaBimBumBand, Haos \u017eongleri and \u0110uri\u010di\u0107 and his drummers in the parade and musical one on one on two stages awaiting all at the end<\/h2>\n

The grand opening of this year\u2019s jubilee 15th consecutive edition of the Street Musicians Festival will be held on Thursday, 3rd September, beginning at 20:30<\/strong>, with participation from several musical, dance and performer ensembles, both from home and abroad. First part of the grand opening will include a merry musical and dance procession passing along the Mihajlo Pupin Boulevard, while the second part will be the great Street Musical Clash<\/em> concert on the Freedom Square between the band from Rijeka Let 3<\/em> and the Novi Sad group Atheist Rap<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\"STREET<\/p>\n

The Festival procession, which will be led by the Italian brass-percussion marching orchestra BadaBimBumBand<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, will start from the end of Mihajlo Pupin Boulevard, that is from the beginning of the Novi Sad side of the Varadin Bridge. Following them are the Haos \u017eongleri<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, the crew of skilled street performers from Novi Sad. They will be joined by street dancers from several of the city\u2019s dance schools (Professional<\/em><\/strong>, Magic People<\/strong><\/em> and Groove<\/strong><\/em>), but also by all our fellow citizens and their guests who wish to be a part of this ceremonial opening of the Festival.<\/p>\n

\"BadaBimBumBand<\/p>\n

Renowned drummer Dragoljub \u0110uri\u010di\u0107<\/a><\/strong>, who will be accompanied his young drummers from Belgrade \u2013 perhaps making it the most attractive part of the ceremony which will later pass through Modena Street on its way to the Freedom Square. \u0110uri\u010di\u0107 will gift shakers<\/em> to the participants of the procession, specially created rattles<\/strong> for this occasion, and then call everyone to dance their way together to the center of Novi Sad.<\/p>\n

\"Dragoljub<\/p>\n

And in the city center lo and behold! On the Freedom Square, around 21:30<\/strong>, the procession will arrive in front of two concert stages \u2013 the first will host Rijeka\u2019s shock rock attraction Let 3<\/em><\/strong>, while the second will hold the popular Novi Sad punk-rockers Atheist Rap<\/em><\/strong>. On Thursday evening, 3rd September, these bands will take part in the Festival\u2019s Street Musical Clash<\/strong> program, a unique musical battle<\/em> \u2013 unseen in Serbia until now! \u2013 meaning Let 3<\/em> will perform songs of the Atheists<\/em>, while the Atheists<\/em> songs of Let 3<\/em>. And of course, both bands will be playing their own hits as well.<\/p>\n

\"Let<\/p>\n

\u2013 This will be the first time we are taking part in this sort of concert form. I met Atheist Rap<\/em> more during our performances together on festivals than through recordings \u2013 said Zoran Prodanovi\u0107 Prlja<\/strong>, frontman of Let 3<\/em>. \u2013 During our career, we had the opportunity to perform in front of the most various of auditoriums, and certainly the fact that the Street Musicians Festival is, in the manner of speaking, a family event<\/strong>, won\u2019t bother us at all. On the contrary, we love expanding our fan base, and this occasion is ideal for something like that!<\/p>\n

\"Ateist<\/p>\n

Also in a good mood ahead of the Street Musical Clash on the Festival are Atheist Rap<\/em>. \u201cWe expect good fun, a mighty but friendly show-down<\/em><\/strong>, and all that as a goal of realizing a truly grand opening of the Street Musicians Festival in Novi Sad. The first song of Let 3<\/em> which we chose to cover and play on the Street Musical Clash is a sort of their band\u2019s ID, the second one is a local hit regional in character which in essence talks about what it means to be in music, and the third is a classic for the soul\u201d, said the Atheists<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\"Let<\/p>\n

The 15th jubilee edition of the Street Musicians Festival will be held from 3rd to 5th September 2015, in Novi Sad. In front of the audience in Novi Sad and its guests, the Festival will host performances from: the Californian swing attraction Phat Cat Swinger<\/a><\/strong><\/em>, the jazzmen Belgrade Dixieland Orchestra<\/a><\/em><\/strong> and retro pop-rockers VIS Limunada<\/a><\/em><\/strong> from Belgrade, Novi Sad\u2019s own stand-up comedy duo Da\u0161ko & Mla\u0111a<\/a><\/strong>, the Americana masters from Rijeka My Buddy Moose<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, the renowned Belgrade accordion player Mi\u0161ko Plavi<\/strong><\/a> and the singer-songwriter and poet Ilija Ludvig<\/a><\/strong>, the street musician and entertainer from Zagreb Davor Per\u0161i\u0107<\/a><\/strong> children\u2019s actors from Belgrade Zorana Milo\u0161akovi\u0107-Tasi\u0107<\/strong> and Goran Balan\u010devi\u0107 Balanac<\/strong><\/a>, young dancers from Novi Sad under the guidance of choreographer Neda Popovi\u0107<\/a><\/strong>, the Macedonian juggler and showman Gazmend Aliu Spinus<\/a><\/strong>, French actor, clown, dancer and pantomime Jean M\u00e9nigault<\/a><\/strong>, a couple of Italian street musicians and entertainers Nando e Maila<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, English flamenco-jazz guitarist playing under the name The Flamenco Thief<\/strong><\/em><\/a> and 14 other bands, individuals and art troupes (Balkan Weirdos<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, Don’t Touch Anything<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, DrvoTruo<\/strong><\/em>, Duo Nomadiko<\/strong><\/em>, Du\u0161ana Stefanovi\u0107<\/strong>, Haos \u017eongleri<\/em><\/strong>, InSession<\/em><\/strong>, INTU<\/em><\/strong>, Kezz<\/strong>, Kralj \u010ca\u010dka<\/strong>, Lepi Jova<\/strong><\/em>, Nylon Club<\/strong><\/em>, Vuk Mu\u0161kinja<\/strong> and Wooden Ambulance<\/strong><\/em><\/a>) who arrive to the festival program through participation on the Open Call.
