This year the Street Musicians Festival will also host the performance of the popular Novi Sad radio hosts Da\u0161ko Milinovi\u0107 and Mladen Urdarevi\u0107<\/a><\/strong>. Their simple stand-up show program – dubbed Chabaret<\/strong><\/em> – the festival audience will be able to see on Friday, 4th September in the Catholic Courtyard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Row of story and song followed by guitar<\/strong>, that is how Da\u0161ko & Mla\u0111a describe Chabaret<\/em>, a comedy program which was performed for the first time in Novi Sad by the end of November of last year. Later the audience saw it in Be\u010dej and Zrenjanin. An analysis of reality which surrounds us, jokes about the (non)culture of turbo-folk and satire which is merciless towards nationalism, xenophobia and clericalism \u2013 all of that and more graces Chabaret<\/strong><\/em> and delights the followers of Da\u0161ko & Mla\u0111a\u2019s engaged, clever, non-cussive humor.<\/p>\n

By their own description “the legendary radio hosts and comedians” say that they are ready to take their hats off to you on the Street Musicians Festival.<\/p>\n

“DURING THE STREET MUSICIANS FESTIVAL WE TAKE OUR HATS OFF HOPING THAT YOU WILL WITHOUT HESITATION THROW SOME DIMES INTO THEM WHICH WE WILL IMMEDIATELY FORWARD TO THOSE WHO ARE IN NEED OF IT. ENTER AN INTIMATE ATMOSPHERE OF THE CATHOLIC COURTYARD AND HEAR THE JEMS FROM OUR RICH COMEDY VAULT. THE EXCITE ALARM + CHABARET + THE STREET = WHO KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN!?”, ANNOUNCED DA\u0160KO & MLA\u0110A.<\/div>\n

The morning radio adventure of Da\u0161ko & Mla\u0111a began four and a half years ago<\/strong> in Novi Sad<\/strong>, on the AS FM Radio Station, remaining there until 2014. Afterwards they were offered to transfer to Radio B92, a media with national coverage and listeners from all over the country. Equipped with an inexhaustible amount of knowledge and information in all fields, Da\u0161ko & Mla\u0111a conquered the country and have amassed a loyal band of followers in all its corners. Their morning radio show Uzbudilnik<\/strong><\/em> (The Excite Alarm<\/em>) \u2013 classical uninformative and uneducational program<\/em>, as they like to joke \u2013 last year won the award of the Independent Journalist Society Of Vojvodina. As expected, the two of them spoke on the show about things not the least popular, and often, very courageously, represented minority attitudes.<\/p>\n

Da\u0161ko Milinovi\u0107 singing for the punk-rock band Red Union<\/strong><\/em>, and Mladen Urdarevi\u0107 playing guitar, bass, drums or singing in the rock\u2019n\u2019roll bands Korozija<\/strong><\/em> (Corrosion<\/em>), Ragman<\/strong><\/em> and Sailorman & The Alligators<\/strong><\/em>. Besides his musical side, Mladen is the screenwriter for the popular TV sit-com Dr\u017eavni posao<\/strong><\/em> (State Affairs<\/em>).<\/p>\n

The 15th jubilee edition of the Street Musicians Festival will be held from 3rd to 5th September<\/strong>, in Novi Sad. The Festival will host performances from the American swing attraction Phat Cat Swinger<\/a><\/strong> and the local jazzmen Belgrade Dixieland Orchestra<\/strong><\/a>. Also there will be performances from other bands, individuals and art troupes – Balkan Weirdos, Don’t Touch Anything, DrvoTruo, Duo Nomadiko, Du\u0161ana Stefanovi\u0107, CHAOS Jugglers, InSession, INTU, Kezz, Kralj \u010ca\u010dka, Lepi Jova, Nylon Club, Vuk Mu\u0161kinja and Wooden Ambulance<\/strong><\/a> – which was made possible by the friend of this year’s Open Call Telekom Serbia. The Street Musicians Festival is organized by the Art Association Inbox<\/em><\/strong> from Novi Sad, with support from the City of Novi Sad and the Provincial Secretary for Culture and Information, Tourist Organization of the City of Novi Sad, the embassy of the United States of America in Belgrade, the Italian Institute for Culture in Belgrade, the Petroleum Serbian Industry and Telekom Serbia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
