Drunkards (Novi Sad/Serbia)

Drunkards

The music influence of Ireland surpasses by far the size of that Atlantic island. Currently, Novi Sad also has a band who nurture the temperamental expression of the “green” men, to the great pleasure of the numerous local fans of the “orthodox Celtic school”.

This essentially acoustic trio, playing authentic instruments (mandolin, violin and guitar), easily grows into a quintet with a rhythm section when it has to meet the requirements of a club or a festival party, and they define their style as Irish bluegrass folk rock. Besides traditional songs they also perform their own pieces, and the date they cherish the most is, as one might expect, Saint Patrick. They are looking forward to their upcoming gig in the Lower Town, where they will perform not only for their fans but also for a wider audience.
